Daniel D. Dugi, Jr., M.D.

Dan Dugi, Jr. M.D. is actively engaged in the practice of Family Medicine and in teaching Resident Physicians and Medical Students at Bohman Clinic in Cuero,
Texas where he has maintained practice for over 25 years.
Dr. Dugi has also engaged in Clinical Research Projects from Peptic Ulcer Disease to Wound Care.

Dr. Dugi was educated at Schreiner’s University, St. Mary’s University, and the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, Texas. His residency training was in Family Practice at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas with special emphasis on Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics.

Dr. Dugi chose to practice rural medicine in Cuero, Texas. He co-wrote the script for the first education based AIDS videos to promote abstinence early in his career, and “AIDS, Suddenly Sex Has Become Dangerous” was born.
For this project, he lectured at the Governor’s Conference on AIDS in Arizona as well as in numerous other cities.

A more recent project included a telemedicine project with the Cuero Independent School District.

During this time, Dr. Dugi also demonstrated a telemedicine consultation for Governor Rick Perry’s Select Committee on Technology in Austin, Texas.
Because of this project, Texas State Senator Ken Armbrister (D-Victoria, Dist.18) attached an amendment to a bill in which he titled 'Dugi Amendment'. This provision enabled a Physician to be reimbursed by Medicaid for conducting a telemedicine consult with a remote rural health clinic which would ultimately enhance the scope of health care services to rural sites.

Dr. Dugi has been active on many medical advisory boards and committees. He has served on the National Rural Health Policy Board and as a member of the National Peptic Ulcer Advisory Committee. He has served in several capacities a the Texas Medical Association and as Chairman of the Rural Health Committee.

Dr. Dugi has also served as Chief of Staff at Cuero Community Hospital where he is actively involved in daily family practice.


Bli Marston Dugi, MPA-C

Bli Marston Dugi, MPA-C is Vice-President of Dugi Group. Bli is actively engaged in the daily operations of this company, which focuses on health, wellness, and educational development. Bli has been a Physician Assistant with a primary emphasis in Family Practice for 12 years. She actively practiced for 8 years until she turned her focus to providing a stable, nurturing environment for her newborn daughter.

Mrs. Dugi’s undergraduate education was from Texas A&M University and the Victoria College. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch, School of Allied Health Sciences in Galveston, Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She furthered her education with a Masters Degree in PA Studies from the University of Nebraska. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and she is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Bli’s passion as a PA was to provide quality, accessible medical care to her rural patient population. The majority of this population consisted of children who Bli developed very special bonds with as she gained their trust. Her passion for children has carried over into her current project as cocreator and coauthor of The Principle Gang.

She and her husband Dan began as a DoctorPA team and have since broadened the scope of this team to take on the roles as coauthors. They have joined together to produce six children’s books and a motivational and inspirational book for adolescents and young adults titled Within You. Bli has also produced a photo documentary that will be released with this book.

As a Physician Assistant, Bli had special interests in wound care research and the use of nutriceuticals. She worked diligently on a telemedicine pilot project for the local school, clinic, and hospital systems.
